Co-PI

Research in the Lewin group focuses on the molecular basis of somatic sensation. However, a second major research focus has evolved in the last 15 years, namely unravelling the extraordinary biology of the naked mole-rat (Heterocephalus glaber).

Co-PI

Research in the Khoutorsky group aims to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying sensitisation of peripheral and central nociceptive circuits in chronic pain conditions. The lab is also interested in studying the mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders such as Fragile X syndrome and autism.
